What We Do

The Friends of the Chester Public Library is a 501c3 organization that promotes awareness to the community of the Chester Public Library’s services, contributions, and needs. We act as a liaison between the community and the library board and staff to create public support for an expanding library program.

We also fundraise to provide resources, special projects, and activities that are not covered in the library’s budget. We sponsor programs designed to contribute to the cultural life of the community as well as lend support to the library as needed.

How We Help

  • Provide funding for additional library programs and activities the library budget cannot cover.
  • Organize Book Sales, raffles, and other fundraising events for the library.
  • Promote the library in the community.
